Fiona Green Biography

After obtaining a Masters degree in modern languages - French and German- from Edinburgh University in Scotland, I completed a post-graduate diploma in European Marketing and Languages. In 1991 I moved to Canada to study Commercial Photography at Dawson Institute of Photography in Montreal and 3 years ago I moved to Keller, Texas.

Initially my main interests were portraiture and travel photography until the day I adopted two beautiful ginger tabbies, Hamish and Angus. Since then, my passion and focus has been animal photography, primarily cats and dogs.

I enjoy shooting in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors. One of my first projects was providing photographs for the calendar of the Montreal SPCA. I now work with a variety of magazine and book publishers including Cat Fancy, I Love Cats, Dog Fancy, Dogs in Canada, D/FW Dog, Pet Product News International and Capstone Press. Last year my first book , 'Mewsings', was published by Willow Creek Press.

During the past year I have been volunteering regularly at the Keller animal shelter. While shelter work can be challenging it is also extremely rewarding. If you have ever considered volunteering at a local shelter, please do. Your support will be greatly appreciated and you may meet your new best friend !
